Meet the founders

Dynamic Duo With Proven Results

Together, Edna Uribe and Teri Arvesú González bring over four decades of combined leadership across corporate media, education, and social innovation.  Their shared vision powers Unstoppable Me Academy and their mission to turn the most vulnerable years in a girl’s life into her launchpad for leadership, confidence, and joy.

Edna Uribe

A transformational executive, entrepreneur, and youth advocate who has spent more than two decades leading organizations and inspiring change.

As Founder & CEO of Unstoppable Me Academy, she’s building a movement to equip middle school girls with the confidence, resilience, and leadership skills they need to thrive — right when it matters most.

Edna's journey is one of resilience and reinvention. From living in different parts of the world to leading a multimillion-dollar organization, she’s lived the growth mindset she now teaches.

As President & General Manager of Univision Chicago, Edna led more than 200 employees, managed $60 million in revenue, and cultivated a culture of innovation and impact. Recognized as a Business Leader of Color, she has served on boards including the Chicago Architecture Center, Chicago Advertising Federation, and the Illinois Broadcasters Association.

A Certified Youth Wellness & Resilience Coach through the Youth Life Coaching Institute (ICF-accredited), Edna ensures Unstoppable Me Academy is grounded in science, not slogans.

She holds dual degrees in International Business & Economics and Spanish Literature, with advanced studies at Harvard Business School and the National Association of Broadcasters.

Edna also invested in women’s sports as a minority owner of the Chicago Stars professional soccer team.

Her mission is simple yet profound:

“To plant resilience and confidence early — before the world tells girls otherwise.”

Teri Arvesú González

Award-winning media executive, strategist, and advocate for women and communities.

As Co-Founder of Unstoppable Me Academy, she merges empowerment with education to help girls build confidence, resilience, and leadership at one of the most pivotal stages of their lives.

The daughter of Cuban immigrants, Teri grew up witnessing resilience in action. That same spirit has defined her 20+ year career — from producing at Univision and Telemundo to serving as Senior Vice President of Social Impact & Sustainability and President of the Univision Foundation.

A 15-time Emmy Award winner, Edward R. Murrow honoree, and Crain’s 40 Under 40 recipient, Teri’s leadership extends far beyond the newsroom. She launched the Women’s Leadership Academy at Univision, training more than 200 women and achieving a 90% promotion rate. She also spearheaded Vota Conmigo, a civic campaign that mobilized 1.3 million Latino voters.

Teri holds a Master’s in Management & Leadership, a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism, and executive education credentials from Harvard Business School, NYU Stern, and the National Association of Broadcasters.

Through her thought leadership platform, The TAG Collab, and her forthcoming book, Throw the Spaghetti, she continues to inspire leaders to embrace authenticity and innovation.

“When you invest in people — especially young women — you change organizations, families, and communities.”
